Diane Nute and her twin brother Doug were born in Bangor, Maine. In 1955, a hospital sat across the street from the current site of Realty of Maine where the car wash is today. Diane and Doug were born there! She loves the City of Bangor and the Greater Bangor Area which she calls home. In addition to Bangor, she has lived in the towns of Frankfort, Winterport, Carmel and Troy.
Currently, Diane lives in the town of Troy with her husband Jim. She has been the Postmaster of Troy, Maine for the past 10 years and loves serving that community. For 24 years, she has worked for the United States Postal Service with most of her time served in City Delivery at the Eastern Maine Processing and Distribution Facility in Bangor and also Williamsburg, VA. She once audited the Jamestown Settlement Post Office and has also done Officer in Charge Assignments in Hancock and Burnham. Diane has supervised in both City Delivery and at the Downtown Bangor Post Office.
Diane loves people and selling real estate part-time in this area. She is especially interested in historical homes and New England design. Husband Jim and she have renovated an 1846 farm on 50 acres in Carmel and are currently remodeling their own 1900's cape in Troy and are also renovating an awesome 1900's home in Burnham for re-sale later this summer. A favorite book of hers, given to her by her father, is Big House, Little House, Back House, Barn that gives great detail about the history and design of the New England Cape. Diane also created a 7 lot sub-division in Carmel in 2004 called "Society Hill Subdivision."
Diane gives thanks for an awesome son and daughter who have given Jim and her five wonderful grandchildren. She is a believer and worships the Lord at Calvary Chapel in Orrington, Maine. Her hobbies include sewing, interior decorating, swimming, cooking with her grandchildren, and simply spending time with family.
