Shari Garland was born and raised in Bangor, Maine and graduated from Bangor High School. Summers were spent at her family camp on nearby, scenic Phillips Lake. Shari studied business management at Husson University, but opted for marriage instead of a degree! Daryl and Shari were married in 1996 and moved to Ft. Benning, Georgia where Daryl served as a Blackhawk helicopter technician in the US Army. In 1998, the Army moved them to Ansbach, Germany and son Colby was born there. Daryl was deployed to Bosnia and later Kosovo.
In 2001, Shari and Colby moved back to Maine and bought their first home in the Charleston area in 2003 while Daryl was sent to Iraq for his first deployment. The whole home-buying process was so exciting to Shari that she decided this would be her new career. That same year she became a licensed Maine real estate agent with Realty of Maine and she is now a member of the Bangor Board of Realtors®, the Maine Association of Realtors®, and the National Association of Realtors®.
Shari believes strongly in community involvement. She assists the Charleston Recreation Department with fund-raising and local events such as Old Home Days. For fun, she enjoys time with her friends and family. Colby plays baseball in the summer. And all three of them enjoy riding their Harleys through the beautiful Maine countryside.
Shari enjoys working with both buyers and sellers of real estate. A true American patriot, she believes in freedom, family and home.
