Originally from Wisconsin, Tim has called New England 'home' since 1989. Skiing and the White Mountains first lured him here, but it was Maine's diversity that anchored him. From its rugged coastline to the mountains and inland lakes, Maine offers something for everyone.
"I live in central Maine because I can reach the ocean in less than an hour, or I can be skiing in Western Maine by the time the lifts open in the morning."
Working as a tour leader with Trek America Adventure Camping Tours, Tim is fortunate enough to have visited every state but Alaska along the way. That being said, he has chosen Maine not only because of its beauty, but also because Maine is one of the safest states in which to live. Geographically, Maine is the same size as the rest of New England combined, yet the population is less than 1.5 million residents.
"It's safe enough that if you forget your keys in the ignition while grocery shopping, or forget to lock your doors at night, there's a pretty good chance no one will notice."
Tim is married with four boys. His wife Gina is from New York State and is also employed locally. They enjoy camping, swimming, skiing and all that Maine has to offer.
